A former Manchester United footballer has been locked up for eight months after he tried to outrun police in a 98mph road chase. Cops caught Oldham midfielder Callum Dolan using a mobile phone at the wheel of a borrowed Renault Clio when he found himself late for training on August 10 this year. The 18-year-old ex-Old Trafford Academy player spotted traffic officers following him and he sped off along the M60 near Greater Manchester and tried to exit along a slip road but lost control of the car and hit some railings. After a short chase on foot, officers caught up with him and asked cops: “I’m f****d – how long will I get for this?” Dolan was already banned from driving after another police chase when he was caught drunk at the wheel. Appearing at Minshull Street Crown Court, Dolan admitted dangerous driving and driving while disqualified. Mitigating, Iain Johnstone said: “Oldham Ath
